Stadium Tour & Running Event with Athletes!

Summary

With Japan National Stadium set to host the Tokyo 2025 IAAF World Championships in September next year, you can experience the stadium tour with track and field athletes, and after the tour you can also join the athletes in a running experience event on the stadium's track.
This is a rare experience limited to 40 participants from each part who can run inside Japan National Stadium with athletes. We hope you will join us.
*Artificial turf will be laid on the track on October 27 and November 24. The running experience event will also be held on the artificial turf.

■Profiles
・Asuka Terada (scheduled to participate: Oct. 27, Part 1 and 2)
Former Japanese record holder in 100m hurdles in track and field. She is a member of the Japan team for the Tokyo Olympics. She started running track and field in grade 4 and won three consecutive Inter-High School titles in the 100m hurdles, which she started in high school, as well as the 100m and 4x100m relay titles in her junior year. She won three consecutive Japanese championships from 2008 to 2010, competed in the World Championships in 2009, and was ranked No. 1 in the world in junior rank, but retired in 2013 due to injury, eating disorder, and other reasons. After entering university and having a baby in 2014, switched to 7-man rugby in 2016 and returned to active duty; returned to track & field again at the end of 2018. The following year, she set a new Japanese record for the first time in 19 years and competed in the World Championships for the first time in 10 years, and in 2021, she broke the Japanese record twice, won the Japanese Championships for the first time in 11 years, and competed in the Tokyo Olympics. She became the first Japanese athlete in 21 years to reach the semifinals in the same event. At the end of 2021, she established Brighter Hurdler Inc. and A-START Inc. and will continue to train the next generation through classes and food while continuing his active career.

・Naoto Tobe (Scheduled to participate: Nov. 24, 1st and 2nd parts, Dec. 15, 1st part)
Athletics, Japanese record holder in high jump. He represented Japan at the Tokyo Olympics. In his senior year of high school, he set a Japanese high school record (at the time) of 2m23 at the Niigata National Athletic Meet, and the following year, in 2010, he won a bronze medal at the World Junior Championships. He then went on to compete in the 2015 World Championships in Beijing and win a bronze medal at the 2018 Jakarta Asian Games, before setting a Japanese record of 2m35 in 2019, winning the overall title at the IAAF World Indoor Tour and ranking first in the world. In 2021, he competed in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and made it to the finals. He holds a doctorate in coaching from the Graduate School of Comprehensive Human Sciences at the University of Tsukuba. In recent years, he has been involved in social contribution through athletics, serving as the chairman of the Athletes Committee of the JAAF and as a board member of the Tokyo 2025 World Athletics Foundation.

・Shota Iizuka (Scheduled to participate: December 15, Part 2)
Iizuka Shota has distinguished himself since junior high school and won the World Junior Championships in college, earning him the nickname “Japanese Bolt. He represented Japan at the Tokyo Olympics and Paris Olympics. He won the 200m at the Japan Championships four times in 2020, 2018, 2016, and 2013, and was the second runner in the 400m relay at the 2016 Rio Olympics and the 2017 London World Championships, winning medals at two consecutive events. He has competed in four consecutive Olympic Games. Iizuka is the first Japanese to compete in four consecutive Olympic Games in the short distance event. He has represented his country in the World Athletics five times and is a well-known multi-sprinter who can run from 100m to 400m.
